This mural haven was not only filled with epic art, the whole outside of the building was covered in graffiti and street art on what they call the 'Walls of Fame'. These walls were free for the public to create on so I had to leave my mark, even if it was temporary. I wanted to create a piece that represented home in some way, a kind of 'Aotearoa was here' type of piece. I chose the Tino Ragatiratanga flag to base my portrait on because I resonate with the design and what it stands for. Over the years it has become a powerful symbol of absolute self-determination, sovereignty, and autonomy, not only for Māori but for non-māori as well who resist the system and its continuous push for more control of the people and its introduction of ideologies that further disconnect us from ourselves, each other and our mother Earth. Every detail of this piece was free handed and freestyled, I entered into a flow state and in a way this piece painted itself using me as the instrument.

After receiving an amazing response online with over 100k views and over 8k likes and due to popular demand I am doing this limited run of prints. If you resonate with this image and wish to cherish it in your home or gift it to somebody, order your print now as this will be the one and only run I do of this particular painting.

Printed on 200gsm card with photographic ink, this fine art print shows every little detail and texture of this mural, giving you the complete experience when looking at it.

*Important* You are pre-ordering this print and orders will close on Sunday the 27th of September with all the prints shipped out soon after. Thank you for your patience with processing your order, good things take time, every print is personally handled, signed and sent by Theo Arraj with love and care.

Frame not included.

60.00 NZD https://theoarraj.bigcartel.com/product/ahi-a3-print https://assets.bigcartel.com/product_images/430565643/Ahi+Print+Web.jpg 120974232 new out of stock
